-TEXTURING-
-Fruit Bowl-
For this scene, I was given the base models of the fruits and had to create the lighting and textures for everything. Each texture for the fruits was a challenge to make because it was my first time using Maya as well as Substance Painter.
My goal was to make my textures look painterly yet realistic. The window shadow was created with a plane in that shape plus an area light in warm tones, while the rest of the lighting includes a sky dome light to provide cool ambient light and a final area light to achieve more detailed shadows and reflections on the fruits.
-Kitchen-
For this scene, I was given the base models again, and my job was just texturing everything. I was going for an "indie horror game vibe," primarily inspired by the Silent Hill and the Slenderman games. The lighting consists of a main red lamp and a flashlight to enhance the "game" atmosphere I wanted, along with a basic HDRI to bring light from outside the window.
The textures are simple: a white decaying wall with graffiti writings on it and a tiled floor, white old cabinets, a burned and dirty microwave, etc. My goal was to make everything look old and dirty.
